Disaster Medicine

This project is for everyone, we are building an army of trained medical professionals and assistants so that we can be of significant help to those in need during disasters.  If you are a provider please join our network and receive disaster training.

If you are not a provider but would like to learn how to sew a laceration, clean out a wound, place a splint and how to serve in a disaster, then join our course and receive your training so you can come with us!  We have learned in significant disasters that we always need more help.  We need logistics, help with pharmacy, translation, and help in many other ways.

We teach a two-week course that is largely on-line, with two full days in class, where we review procedures, laceration repair, wound care, splint application, CPR and other lifesaving skills.  Once the course is completed you will receive a diploma that will allow you to be an official part of our team to travel and care for others during a disaster.  Your function will be largely as a Emergency Room technician under direct supervision of a physician or physician assistant.

After course completion there will be a yearly continuing medical education component which will allow you to stay up to date on the medical needs and training that will be needed to participate in these disaster settings.

We believe that collaboration is the key to helping more and more people during these crises.  We have partnered with and will continue to partner with different groups to achieve our ultimate goal of receiving suffering and helping those in need.
